 The Hidden Gems It's funny how the more we plunge into the "fast paced life", the more we let ourselves lose amidst the constant need of outdoing one's own self. The urge to impose a fixation upon ourselves, almost in every spheres of life and incorporate certain changes may "smoothen the journey" for a while, but the process is seductive. The more we attempt to "carve an identity", the more we let go of the one that we already have.  The book "The Hidden Gems" is a rare gem that one must read. It helped me come across ideas and gave an opportunity to not just accept, but also brainstorm and create new ideologies. It asks us to bring "subtle differences...to evolve as an individual". It also touches upon the psyche of an individual and the fact that our mind is cluttered with unwanted worries originates solely from the art of scrutinizing ourselves, causing the splitting of the self as a consequence of acute self-consciousness

Whimsical Poetry Fiction and Reality  Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) The title 'Whimsical Poetry: Fiction and Reality' brings us to the apparently fanciful nature of fiction that weaves a blurring vision of reality, coming down to a saturated and constructive criticism of the fancy that we associate ourselves with. From a life of "small undertakings" to a mere recognition of our potentials to explore, Syeda Fatima's poetry of life has assimilated the state of consciousness ("Am I awake") with that of "living a dream", much like what Keats did:  "Was it a vision, or a waking dream? ... Do I wake or sleep?"  The predominant mood of this collection of poetry is that of jovial agnosticism. It urges us to turn "sadness into happiness", thus hinting on, as observed in the Upanishads, how we recognize the pleasure that we belong to and that with thunder, comes the sunshine---it is us who would have to cherish it with a frolic welcome. 

  RAGE OF MARINE TITANS The novella, 'Rage of Marine Titans' is set in the backdrop of the Russian Ukraine conflict of 2022, as the Preface itself suggests. We have witnessed, in some way or the other, the horrendous atrocities committed by mankind. One such instance is the power struggle of the Russian-Ukraine conflict that reached the pinnacle of a boiling point, disrupting order and making its way to gigantic chaos. Subsequently, the sequential order is overthrown by the dominant authority furthered not only by Russia's invasion but it is bolstered to a great extent by pro-Russian forces in Ukraine.  The author, Saurabh Pant in 'Rage of Marine Titans' talks about the illusion of the glory of war. It reminds me of Wilfred Owen, a war poet who decidedly debunked the whole concept of war. The author presents vivid descriptions of the setting- the quietness, the numbness, the oxymoronic "silent whispers" is enveloped in an air of trepidation, waiting for
